QKR Stampede Challenge #169 - Snow Scene

Wow...here we are the 2nd Friday of December! I have so much to get done in the next 2 weeks and to top it all off, my daughter is GRADUATING from college TOMORROW!!  On to this weeks challenge at QKR Stampede...Snow Scene.    I chose image #5202 Christmas Tree ...isn't he adorable?!?!  I imported him into Silhouette Studio to print and cut, then colored him with copics.  I used Nellie's Choice winter landscape embossing folder for the background and added  green stickles to the pine trees and stardust stickles to the snowflakes and drifts.  I tore two layers of textured white cs for added snowdrifts and used stardust stickles on them also. A mixture of fun flock and flower soft for the fur and ball on his hat and 3 tiny red gems for the holly berries from Recollections.

Stop by QKR Stampede's challenge blog to see the "Snow-tastic" cards by my DT sisters and join our fabulous challenge!  The prize for winning is 2 digital images of your choice, but if you use a QKR image you will win 3 digital images of your choice!  Hope to see you there!

  1. First...thrilled for you and your daughter on her graduation. My youngest is having his last exam today and he has one more semester upon his graduation...off to Masters then? I love that embossing folder...I need a winter scene but never got one not totally knowing how to use it, but now you have inspired me. Off to Denver next week with drugs to deal with back and hope to see a little snow while there. We get so little in SC. I so love and miss working with the QKR images and will be overwhelmed when the days comes that I can...haha

  5. Love the embossed scenery you made for this cute image. Haven't seen this embossing folder before. Great idea to add touches of glitter and snow so the details are even more defined...
