Father's Day

Today's card is my FIL's Father's Day card.  I CASEd one I found on Pinterest, hers was a birthday card tho.  I used The Open Sea set from Stampin' Up! and did the "triple time stamping" technique.  The layers are 2x3 1/4, 3x4 1/4, and 4x5 1/4.  I used temporary adhesive to glue them together, then did my stamping.  I stamped with Color Box in Putty and Black Soot distress ink.  Cut a mat for each layer 1/4" larger from black cs.  Referee bakers twine and sentiment from Paper and Such (couldn't find their link to post).

***I am taking the summer off from QKR Stampede design team, so I won't be posting every week.  Please continue to look at their blog for inspiration from the other girls and enter their ATG challenges w/twist!

  19. Love the effect of the triple stamping and layers here. I've used this technique a few times, and I've come to prefer to cut the panel into layers after stamping, I can picture where the cuts will be made or I use little pencil marks if I need to.
